Our Purchasing Manager, within the NTE group, ensures the functional procurement activities for the company’s needs, guaranteeing compliance with the qualitative, quantitative, economic and financial standards of purchases. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, his function has these purposes:
- Ensures purchasing activity in terms of quality, quantity, timing and cost in line with company requirements
- Manages the day-to-day activities of the purchasing department, coordinates the team, assigns tasks
- Plans, develops and implements purchasing strategies, agreed with Supply Chain Manager
- Searches for new, more favorable procurement opportunities (new partners, suppliers, co-makers, etc.)
- Monitors supplier relationships and conducts key negotiations by drafting and/or collaborating on contract clauses
- Develops purchasing budgets in accordance with the project manager
- Monitors and analyzes the department’s KPIs
- Achieves company goals in terms of savings
- Manages scheduling and internal relations with other business divisions involved in procurement activities
- Coordinates projects in the procurement area
- Introduces digital innovation tools (cost data analysis & plant market trends) into programming (nice to have).
Required:
- Experience in the role of Purchasing Manager of at least 3 years in industrial plant engineering or contract machine building companies.
- Familiarity with national/international contracting.
- Knowledge of technical drawing and/or basic P&ID interpretation skills (nice to have)
- Willingness to travel domestically/internationally (10% year)
- Very good knowledge of the English language

The person we are looking for will have full responsibility for the department following an adequate period of support, in particular will be responsible for:
- Keep up-to-date with national and international regulations, so that equipment and instruments comply with market standards;
- use laboratory instruments to analyse the physical properties of materials (e.g. granulometer, microscope, etc.);
- carry out the laboratory analyses and characterisation of products with the preparation of the relevant reports and sheets, and subsequent archiving;

- perform pre-tests and tests (with and without customer);
- if necessary, support the Service Department at the customer’s site (start-ups);

- Plan test execution activities in cooperation with customers;
– draw up final test reports; - Ensure the decorum and cleanliness of the Pilot Plant, of the areas affected by the test after it has been carried out, of the laboratory, of the machines on display and, in general, of the Research Centre, possibly supporting the cleaning staff.
- Required:
Degree or diploma in Chemistry or Mechanics;
Previous experience of at least 2 years in a chemical/industrial laboratory or similar role; - Preferably coming from the world of machinery or industrial process plants;
