CO2 EMISSIONS OFFSETTING

Every megawatt of clean energy tells a story: students who can study in better environments, girls who ride their bicycles to school every day, and families who receive free medical examinations and screenings in their communities.

These stories inspired the decision to offset our direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) energy-related emissions in 2024 by supporting a wind power project in Rajasthan, India.

Why this project?
The choice fell on this wind farm because it meets our criteria for combining environmental benefits—cutting CO2 emissions—with tangible social impacts such as supporting education, healthcare, clean water, and local employment.

The project:
•    generates renewable energy that avoids CO₂ emissions, producing approximately 45 GWh/year, enough to power around 10,500 households
•    supports local education with school supplies, bicycles for girls, and new sanitary blocks in schools;
•    improves access to healthcare through medical camps, cancer screening, and prevention campaigns;
•    brings drinking water to schools and communities through wells, pumps, and tanks;
•    creates stable employment for local workers.

A concrete commitment

Offsetting emissions means taking action today to reduce our impact. But supporting a project that improves the health, education, and economy of a region means contributing to broader, fairer, and more sustainable change.

Let’s continue working together, taking meaningful actions every day to build a more responsible future. Join us in making a real difference for communities, the environment, and future generations.
